Become an Intrapreneur

An intrapreneur is a person who initiates and leads innovation projects – just like an entrepreneur – but they do it from within an existing organization rather than going out on their own. When your organization implements LaunchPath, it creates a path to intrapreneurship for every eligible employee.

Explore the Opportunity

Explore the Opportunity

With LaunchPath, you will know exactly what type of innovation your organization seeks. Avoid wasting time pursuing off-target ideas.

See What It Takes to Succeed. LaunchPath gives you all the information you need to realistically evaluate your chances of success, including: financial success metrics, project evaluation criteria, and the number of projects competing for scarce resources.

Assess Available Resources & Rewards. LaunchPath provides a running tally of available resources and rewards for each innovation goal including Innovation Time, Innovation Funds, and Financial Rewards.

Follow the Path

Follow the Path

LaunchPath will guide you through the intrapreneurial process, including finding a good idea. If you’ve got what it takes to be an intrapreneur, LaunchPath will transform your aspirations into reality.

Form a Team. You don’t have to go it alone. Recruit friends and colleagues to join your project.

Complete a Challenge. Wherever you are in the innovation process, LaunchPath identifies your next essential challenge, and presents you with the instructions, resources, and support you need to succeed.

Advance to the Next Stage. LaunchPath levels the playing field by requiring a competitive stage gate review process to advance from one stage to the next. Prove the merits of your project by submitting a winning Stage Application.

Develop New Skills

Develop New Skills

As you journey along the path to intrapreneurship, you will inevitably encounter challenges that are unfamiliar. LaunchPath empowers you to develop the skills you need to succeed via:

Comprehensive Web-Based Training. Access 20+ self-paced training videos covering Innovation Basics, Ideation, How to Pitch Your Idea, and Lean Startup Fundamentals.

Interactive Workshops. Participate in live, interactive, web-based workshops where you can ask an innovation expert for advice regarding your specific challenge.

Use the Tools

Use the Tools

The entire innovation process is supported by tools and templates that:

Make it Easy. LaunchPath makes extremely challenging tasks intuitive and simple. For example, use our Revenue Guesstimator to develop a defensible estimate of a market’s financial potential in a matter of minutes.

Save Time. Cut out hours and even days of the innovation process using tools and templates that reduce highly complex tasks into simple step-by-step procedures.

Get it Right. Work with confidence knowing that you are doing the right things in the right order in a manner that will meet your organization’s needs and expectations.

Receive Feedback

Receive Feedback

As part of the service implementation process, LaunchPath works with your management to define an in-depth innovation scorecard that is then used as the basis for all idea and project evaluations. This allows you to:

Understand What Your Organization Values. Simply by reviewing the scorecard, you will immediately develop a sense for what makes a good idea good within your organization.

Privately Test Ideas Before Submitting. If you have an idea but are uncomfortable sharing it with your whole organization, you can share it privately with trusted colleagues and see how they evaluate it before making up your mind.

Learn & Adapt. There is no guarantee that your submissions will be accepted, but there is a guarantee that you will receive detailed, actionable feedback from your organization’s Innovation Council that will help you understand what’s working and what’s not as you work on your project.

Earn Resources

Earn Resources

When your project is accepted into a given stage of the innovation process, you will receive a Stage Pass detailing any resources and rewards you have been provided, including:

Innovation Time. Similar to vacation time, innovation time is time away from your day job to work exclusively on your project.

Innovation Funds. As the name suggests, Innovation Funds are financial resources that have been allocated to support the development of your innovation at a particular stage of the process.

Executive Sponsorship. As you advance to later stages of the innovation process, you will be assigned an Executive Sponsor who will serve as an informal mentor, help you break through organizational barriers, and review and approve your use of Innovation Funds.
